There are also great opportunities for inshore fishing, and the rest of the family will likely enjoy a dinner of freshly caught salmon, cod, plaice, or garfish.

Visit e.g. Augustenborg Castle. The castle also includes a beautiful castle park and a very beautiful castle church, which is open to visitors. Also visit Sønderborg Castle, which today houses a museum with several exhibitions.
Sønderborg also has a cozy harbor environment with sailing ships and restaurants along the waterfront, just as the city has many good shops. For the active holidaymaker, there are very good opportunities for cycling and hiking on Als along the many small cozy roads that wind along hedgerows and through lush forests, just as windsurfers also have ideal conditions.
