Good fishing conditions in the fjord, also for inshore fishing. There are several public wharfs nearby, the closest one is 2 km away. The area offers lots of mountain hiking. You can start walking directly from the house, or drive for a bit to find a bigger selection of hiking trails. A map is ready for you in the house. Mølleparken in Tau is a popular park with a cafe, flea market and art exhibition, open every Sunday. You can pick mushroom in late summer. Bring walking shoes and enjoy yourself with a good book on the terrace with a great view. The fjord almost boils with mackerel in summer. The famous salmon river Årdalselven flows into the fjord. The cottage is a good point of departure for excursions to the many attractions in the area, like the famous Pulpit Rock. The magnificent scenery gives a splendid backdrop for mountain hiking. The owner lives next to the cottage and uses the garage connected to the holiday home. An extra bed or a children's bed can be arranged.
